200- SILVER STREAK MULTILUBE SPAY

200 SILVER STREAK MULTI-LUBE SPRAY

200 Silver Streak Multi-Lube Spray is a semi-synthetic, diluent-type heavy duty, extreme pressure lubricant that is recommended for the lubrication of open gears, pins and bushings, dipper sticks, circle rails, wire ropes, large open chains and fifth wheels that are common to the mining, steel mill, railroad, construction, power plant and marine industries.

200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray is compounded from a unique blend of select high viscosity index paraffin base oils and synthetic base fluids. These base oils were selected for their exceptional physical and chemical stability and their exceptional serviceability over a wide range of temperatures. These base fluids are further compounded to provide 200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray with a superior adhesive film forming characteristics. This film forming characteristic allows 200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray to resist “squeeze out” and cling tenaciously, even to gears that are in vertical orientation. 200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray is also compounded with a blend of non-chlorinated solvents that allows 200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray to stay soft and pliable especially in cold weather over along period of time, thus allowing a wide range of uses. These non-chlorinated solvents are also compatible with various seal materials found on various pieces of equipment.

To fortify the adhesive film strength of 200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray, a combination of molybdenum disulfide and various solid lubricants are compound into 200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray. The molybdenum disulfide and various solid lubricants contribute to the structure of the film and also improve the anti-wear, extreme pressure characteristics and load carrying capabilities of 200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray beyond those of conventional lubricants. The load carrying ability of 200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray is in excess of 500,000 pounds per square inch.

The combination of molybdenum disulfide and various solid lubricants also forms a protective layer between the mating surfaces. This protective layer provides a cushioning effect between the contacting asperities that minimizes pitting of the mating surfaces.

200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray offers the following advantages:

1. Forms an almost indestructible adhesive film with a “cushioning effect” even under extreme pressure and very low speeds.
2. Resists film destruction by containing oils or greases “migrating” from nearby mechanisms.
3. Resistant to rain, snow and the process of water washout.
4. Resistant to adhering of dirt or dust.
5. Reduction in contact temperatures.
6. Minimizes cold metal welding at the contacting asperities.
7. Minimizes the vibration of “stick slip”.
8. Exhibits excellent reduced wear characteristics.
9. Adheres strongly to gear teeth to resist excessive throw-off.
10. Will not harden, chip or flake off or form a hard pack buildup especially in cold weather.

Caution: Due to the presence of flammable non-chlorinated solvents #200 Silver Streak® Multi-Lube Spray should not be applied in areas where there is high heat or open flames.
